Caboolture Rugby Union Club is pleased to announce its intention to field a team in the 2020 The Armidale School U12 Rugby Competition. On the back of three successful campaigns, including last years undefeated division 3 side, we look to continue the unique experience the trip brings.

The competition is the largest junior Rugby tournament of its kind in Australia. Teams travel from as far as Central Queensland, Victoria and Perth. It allows our players to compete against other young talent. The standard of competition has proven to help lift our players onto higher honours. Each year after the teams return more and more players have been selected in representative teams.

Caboolture Rugby Union Club invites all players born in 2008 & 2009 to attend. We begin training Wednesday February 5th at 5pm. Training will continue Monday and Wednesday afternoons going forward form 5-6pm. As the weeks progress the coaching staff will firm up the 20 positions for the tour. A number of shadow players will be notified and all players are invited to continue training. Tour dates are Friday 17th April – Sunday 19th April.

Kev Desbrow the Junior President is in communication with Dalby to try and organise a trial in the weeks leading into the competition. Over the past years the Snakes and Wheat men have formed a good bond through this tournament. In 2020 we look to continue to grow these bonds and engage with our Rugby Family in Dalby.

All parents of players are asked to be present on February 5th so that more information can be passed on. For more information contact Kev Desbrow at juniorprescruc@gmail.com
